The site has a colonial page for Dover and none for Portsmouth, which is where the genuinely old ones are. Compare Dover colonial homes, create a free account to save this search and receive new listing alerts, or call Great Island Realty at 603-433-3350 for local guidance.
Portsmouth was a working port before the revolution and it still has the houses to prove it. The South End, Christian Shore and the streets around Strawbery Banke hold eighteenth and early nineteenth century colonials, many within the historic district, some of them on lots barely larger than the footprint. Out toward the Greenland line and Atlantic Heights the colonial label usually means a twentieth century centre entrance house instead. Year built separates them immediately. Great Island Realty knows both ends.
